Ann's Story Block Goodness :)

Hi there scrappers! Today I thought I'd share with you what I did recently with Ann's Story Block #1 - Flowers. These packs consist of 2 story blocks which are approx 9cm high x 7cm wide and 8.5cm wide x 7cm high. They are simply devine and they make a really lovely addition to your pages! Designed by Ann Lederhose, you can easily cut them like I've done here in my "Lucy" layout to make a real feature out of them around your title...

I also used one on my double layout "Whirlpool". See it peeking out there? It's so cute don't you think?

My full double layout "Whirlpool" can be seen on the below post. It's created for this month's super duper colour challenge where you need to create a page/card/otp using these colours...
  • SUGAR RUSH PINK
  • TROPICAL WATER BLUE
  • SPAGHETTI WESTERN RED
  • PANDA EYES BLACK
  • SOFT SERVE WHITE
Plus a bit of chipboard on your creation! I'm looking forward to seeing lots of colourful entries this month. For more inspiration, please check out the below post for some stunning examples by the super-talented Creative Team here!

Until next time, happy scrapping!
Cheers,
Chantal

It's a colourful August challenge with Chantal! :)

Hello everyone! Well it's a new month so (yay) it's a new challenge here at Stuff 2 Scrap! I am so excited to bring to you all my very first challenge here, so without further ado here it is! :)

I'd like you to create a page/card/otp using the following colours...

  • SUGAR RUSH PINK
  • TROPICAL WATER BLUE
  • SPAGHETTI WESTERN RED
  • PANDA EYES BLACK
  • SOFT SERVE WHITE

Plus I'd like to see chippie on your creation! :)

Fun hey? And this can be interpreted in so many ways - from girl pages to boy pages and everything in between - just have a look below for some super cool examples!

Here's my layout example for this challenge, "Whirlpool". I went for a double because I had so many fun "whirlpool" photos to scrap. (Please double-click on my double for a better view.)

Here's a close-up - I have used part of
Ann's Story Block #1 - Flowers for some super cute journalling.

And here I've used a S2S chippie crown and wrapped some craft string around it and decorated it with some brads.

Next up we have super-talented Jess's layout, "Giggles"...

How cute is that!!! I love it! Jess has used more of the "soft serve white" and just "sprinkled the pretty colours on there" - fab work, Jess!

Look at what Jess has done with Petrina's Criss Cross Corner! Love her white-washing and doodling in black - and the red stitching is so funky!

Wow! :D

Next up is a creation by one of our new Creative Team members, Rachael Funnell! She is such an inspiring scrapper - and I love her work!

Rachael's gorgeous layout is called "Live Out Loud" and it's the perfect title when using these bright colours! Note how she emphasised the "Tropical Water Blue" to turn it into a rockin' boy page for her son? Rachael has used the Top2Bottom Heart Border here - I love how she's coloured each heart like that! She has also used a super cool chippie buckle from Petrina's Nana's Buckle #1 pack
.

Next is the fabulous Chantelle's layout, "Play"...

I love all the texture Chantelle combines on her creations, and this is a perfect example! See how Chantelle has focused on the blue and white mostly, which just a few touches of red and just the one hint of pink? This looks awesome! Perfect for boys and the beach! That tiny bit of pink really sets it off I think! :)

I just love how Chantelle has painted Leeann's Bubble Border here! It looks like sea spray - what an awesome effect! Chantelle has also used Leeann's Beach Hut #1 there and left it raw and just added a little red button on the door handle. So cute!!! :)

Here's another gorgeous layout, this time by another of our new Creative Team Members, Lisa Amiet!

Lisa's layout is called "My 2 Babes" and I just adore the playful vibe here! Lisa has used lots of chippie goodness from S2S and I love how they've been placed at different angles which really adds to the fun feel! Awesome! :)

One more gorgeous creation, this time from another new team member - the awesomely-talented Anita Tillman...

Her layout "True Beauty is just breathtaking isn't it? Anita has softened the colours somewhat, yet they still remain the same shade which is very clever!

This layout is packed with S2S chippie goodness! There is the word "Beauty" in a pretty script font, the bird from the Chipboard Birds Pack #1, a heart from Chipboard Hearts Pack #1 (can we ever really have enough hearts? :)) and a pretty flower border layered underneath her photo and embellishment cluster which has been left raw and decorated with blue rhinestones.

Wow - look at that detailed shot! :)

Aren't they all just fabulous!!! Please visit our talented team's blogs to see more details of their work (the links are in the sidebar).

So loads of great ideas and inspiration (and some more will be coming up soon too!) and I really hope you will all be able to join in with this fun challenge - you have until the 31st of August to enter your creation into Mr Linky (in the sidebar) and you'll have a chance at winning an awesome prize pack!!!

Good luck and enjoy!

Cheers,
Chantal :)

And finally we get to meet . . . . .

Lucinda Benson

I’m Lu Benson, mum of five bright sparks; Blayd (16), Lachlann (13), James (10), Caeligh (7) and Indi (2 months).  I’ve been married to Doug for four years, together for 14, and we live in sunny  Brisbane, Queensland.  I began scrapbooking back in 2004, when pregnant with Caeligh, as I was looking for an activity to keep me busy once the baby arrived.  I have always had an interest in drawing, story writing and arty type pursuits in general and scrapbooking covers just about all of them, and thus is the one hobby I’ve stuck with as it is such a flexible, interpretive form of creativity.  It doesn’t date; sure, the styles change and trends come and go, but the basics are always the same so it’s a craft that anyone can do.

My style is probably best described as “messy” lol.  I don’t use sketches, page maps, or even begin my pages with a plan of attack in mind.  I love the down and dirty techniques of tearing, inking, sanding and grunging up my pages, no matter what the subject.  I also love using found, repurposed and non-traditional items on my pages.

When I’m not scrapping, I am kid wrangling, working as a freelance medical typist, taking photographs, going to the beach, rummaging through thrift shops and flea markets, and very occasionally, even getting through a good book.

I’m so excited to be joining the Stuff 2 Scrap team and getting back into doing what I love.  I’m grateful to Warren and Annmarie for this opportunity as I am a huge chipboard fan as its possibilities are limitless.  I’m looking forward to hopefully bringing some inspiration and ideas to you, along with the other very talented members of the team.

AND.....

Colleen Boshoff

Hi my name is Colleen Boshoff and I am married to an incredibly supportive husband when it comes to my crafty hobbies. We have three wonderful children Courtney, Jayden and Conner.

I have always been into crafty hobbies and started scrapbooking when my children were babies. With the kids being so young there wasn't much time but for the past two years I have been addicted to this craft and love the social side to! More recently I have found a passion for stamping, colouring with Copics and making cards and I love to add some chipboard to these mini creations.

Thank you Annmarie and Warren I am super excited to be part of your amazing Creative Team and look forward to creating with your gorgeous chipboard and to inspiring you all!!

Well that is the new team - so I hope you will make them all welcome :)  Please dont forget this months challenge ends soon, so get your entries in.

Until next time
Annmarie

Another Member for you to meet

Anita Tillman

My name is Anita Tillman and I have 2 beautiful kids Romi (5yo) and Ollie (3yo) and a wonderful patient husband!  I started scrapping over 5 years when I had to stop work due to pregnancy complications and needed something to relieve my boredom - my mum suggested scrapping.  I thought there was NO WAY it would be for me and by the time I completed my first page I was well and truly hooked!
I love scrapping pages of my family and I also have a special little love for OTP too when I can find the time!
I only started blogging a few months ago and it has totally opened my eyes to another creative universe ... oh what fun! Seeing other talented artists out there has really inspired me to try so many new things and push myself to experiment with so many different goodies - I just love it!  This is my first ever time as a Creative Team Member and I am so excited and honored to be part of such a great team!

As soon as I have a picture from both the wonderful Lucinda and Colleen I will get them up here too ....  Hopefully everyone is having a great week and enjoy your weekend ....

Until next time

I have always loved photography and of course I had to find something to do with all those pictures and that is where I discovered Scrapbooking. This gives me a way to document all those stories behind the pictures I take...and I get to play with pretty stuff!! What more could a girl want.

The thing that I love most about scrapbooking is the lovely friends that I have made, and hopefully all the new ones that I will make in the future. I’m not sure that I have a particular style of scrapbooking, but like to try anything at least once.

I am currently on the Design Team for “Bird is the Word” Challenge blog and am Berry Bleu's Tags and am honoured to have been chosen to be on the Stuff2Scrap Team. I can't wait to get started!

creations with Felicity

Good Morning chipboard fans :))

I hope this finds you all not to cold.
Good Hot chocolate weather uh!

Firstly I want to say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the new design team. I am sure we all cant wait to see your wonderful creations.
You may or may not have noticed that my name is missing from the list.
The reason behind that is because I am finishing up with Stuff 2 Scrap. Its time for me to take a step backwards and to concentrate a little bit more on my little family. Unfortuntaley its one those things where you have to weigh up your options and family always seems to win!

I hope you all understand.

Now onto happy things.
I want to share with you today some gift tags I made.

I am going to admit and say that sometimes I think of chipboard only on layouts.. but you know what.. I proved myself wrong.
There are so many awesome designs that stuff  2 scrap have, that I also found them perfect to alter a few notebooks.

I am a HUGE notebook girl. There in EVERY room!

I hope that gives you a few more ideas with the chipboard.
Dont forget about this month challenge. I am loving ALL the enteries so far and would love to see a few more.

Happy scrappy Monday! :)
