Shabby Hearts...

Hi all - Anita here with another share...
I saw the new Kaisercraft range the other day and just had to get some - I am not normally a fan but I really like this one! Anyway... I also LOVE the Stuff2Scrap chippy hearts ... LOTS!

And just a quick share on how I got them like this.... I applied two really really thick coats of acrylic paint and made it lumpy and bumpy.  I dried mine with a heat tool (cause I'm impatient!)....

I then sprayed on plenty of Glimmer mist .. it kind of sinks into the creases of all the paint and gives it a really great look... I also dried this with my heat tool but be careful not to cook it too much! ...

Hope everyone is having a great time prepping for Christmas!! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

A little birdie told me.....

Hi all - Anita here! I had so much fun over the weekend having a play around with my stash of Stuff2Scrap Chippies - Oh what fun! I just got this beautiful Crafters Workshop stencil and couldn't wait to play! Here is what came together... Want to make one too?? I'll show you how I did it!....

First paint your chippy with a base colour. I used cream acrylic paint and put two coats on.....

Then out came my distress inks in colours to match my project.... any type of ink would probably work the same though....

I placed my template over the chippy and applied one colour on the little birds chest and then a different colour on the top .. carefully blending them in the middle.....

Ta da! I inked around the edge too with a darker colour after this step and I did consider covering it with clear crackle paint or dimensional magic but in the end left it.

I hope you grab your Stuff2Scrap chippies and play along with this technique! Have a great day - I'll be back in a few days with some more shares! xox

December Challenge!!

I can't believe its December already, I love this time of the year even though it gets insanely busy! But I do hope you can find some time this month and play along with December's Challenge!

This month I thought I would keep it simple but fun and hopefully you can make some time to join in on the fun.

1. The theme is christmas with non traditional christmas colours.
2. Use the technique masking.
3. And don't forget some chipboard!!

I have some gorgeous inspiration for you from the lovely DT girls.

Rachael's layout is bright and such a gorgeous mixture of colours. She was very clever and used the large Stuff 2 Scrap Heart Border as her mask.

I love Anita's combination of lilac and green, so pretty!

I will be back tomorrow with more fabulous layouts to share with you!
