create

My last share for my blogging week:  I created this canvas for my craft room - as the room is fairly neutral, I want to brighten it up with fun things that I've made.
I've used scraps of fabric and pattern paper to make up the background of this canvas with lots of paints and inks!!

.. and I've added in some beautiful chipboard - the birdcage by Leeann - I have simple added glossy accent to make it shine ..
Hope you've enjoyed my inspiration and thanks for coming past and your lovely comments!!

There's still a few more days left for our current monthly challenge - you can view the details at this post - we would love to have more players - don't forget there is fabulous chipboard up for grabs!!

Tags & Journalling block

OK, so I promised you I would be back to share a LO using one of the tags I created in the previous post.  So here's what I've come up with:
When you have a tag all made up and ready to go - it's easy to add to your LO's such as this one.  I've added in a few more bit and pieces to finish it off!

I did add in another peice of chipboard - you can see it peaking from behind the Hambly!! It's the journalling block - stars - I've stamped with a 'music note' stamp, then added some ink to the edges.
Hope you've been enjoying my inspiration - I have one more piece to show you tommorow - it's a mini canvas that I've created for my new crafting space.  Til then......  happy crafting.

'itty bitty' chipboard

hello, I'm back with some 'small' pieces of inspiration.  I have some 'itty bitty' pieces of chipboard in my stash and have put them to good use on shipping tags.
By decorating and embellishing with chipboard and other fun items, you will have tags ready to add to your scrapbook LO's!!
... this one uses Leeanns Mini Huts ...

... and this one is a sweet little aeroplane chippie - a new item coming to Stuff 2 Scrap.

I've inked the edges of each piece of chipboard and leaving it raw to keep all the great details.
I'll be back tommorow to show you a LO using the last tag!!

chipboard corner star

hello... it's Chantelle here to share with you some chipboard inspiration.  I've had a little fun using the chipboard as a mask and then using the same piece as an embellishment on my LO!!
For this LO I've used the Chipboard Corner Star.  Using glimmer-mist and the chipboard as a mask, I've created a star background.  Then I've cut the same piece down to the size I liked, used some white paint and buttons - and created my own little embellishment.  Here are some close-up's:

This piece of chipboard is fairly large, so I have enough for another LO.  Masking with chipboard and glimmer-mist products is an easy way to add effective backgrounds to your pages.  I hope you will give it a try with some of your own chipboard.
Happy crafting!!

Words

Hello Everyone!!!

Today I am back with another layout, I based this layout on the sketch challenge at Get Picky. And I used a Stuff 2 Scrap chippie word - 'Tough', I inked it with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and then finished it with Dimensional Magic. I also used a chippie heart and finished it off the same way.

Chipboard words are great for titles or adding some extra dimension to your layouts and they can be finished off in lots of different ways!

Rainy Days...

I have a layout to share with you today using the gorgeous Stuff 2 Scrap Rainy Days chippie designed by Ann Lederhose.

I gave it a light coat of Gesso and then added Distress Stickles Antique Linen to the clouds and Stickles Chrystal to the rainbow.

I also love the little clouds in this pack and have some plans already for them, I think they would be perfect to add to cards!

I hope you all have a fabulous week!!

Spring Time!!

Hi, its Colleen here to share with you today!

Its spring time so I thought I would pull out some flowers from my stash and my Stuff 2 Scrap Flowers Border #1 and created a layout of my DD when she was a baby.

This is one of my favourite pieces of Stuff 2 Scrap chippie, you can use it as one piece or cut it and use it in pieces. I cut two pieces and then painted it with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint - Picket Fence. I then added them to my clusters of flowers.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and get some time to craft and don't forget Rachael's fabulous sketch challenge, you can find all the details here.

More to share!

Hello Happy Scrappers!
I am so happy to be back and to be sharing something
a little different for me :)
I usually have trouble with white space, so have been trying to come
out of my comfort zone a little. So that's where this layout came from :)

and I have chosen to use the Heart Top2Bottom Border
which I have cut into pieces. I then inked it in a bright pink.
Once dry I then ran it through my Big Shot in a polka dot embossing folder.
I then inked the raised polka dots in silver to highlight them.

I love embossing chipboard, it adds another layer of texture to your layout!
I have lots more to share with you soon!
So until then, take care and have fun!

chose to use the gorgeous

I love how versatile these are! I chose to journal with alpha stickers
and ink it slightly in the same colour, to grunge it up a bit :)

And add a little bit of girly bling :))
I have lots more to share with you over the next few days,
I'll catch up with you... until then
have a fabulous weekend and don't forget to check out
this months challenge - a gorgeous sketch from Rachael!

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Hi everyone, it's Chantal here! ;)

It's my turn to blog this week! Yay!!!

I only finished this layout yesterday and I've managed to use two different Stuff 2 Scrap chippie goodies on here. My layout is called "Easter morning '11"...

I've used Leeann's Build an Owl from Stuff 2 Scrap - Designed by Leeann Pearce. Packaged in one piece this Owl and Tree/Branch can be pushed out of the chipboard frame and 'built', the leftover chipboard can then be used as a mask for drawing, painting or spraying with glimmermist. How cool is that!!! Here's a closie of my cute-as owl...

I first painted my owl and tree, then I covered it's wings with patterned paper, cut out circles for it's eyes (the larger circle was cut out with zig-zag decorative scissors), for it's tummy I cut out the pp to size and before attaching it to the chippie, I gave it an eyelet treatment. :D I then stuck all the bits together once dry, added googly eyes, buttons to the leaves, a felt beak :) and doodled around the edges and outlines of the chippie and patterned paper.... hoot hoot!

I've attached my title on top of a part of Ann's Geo Corners from Stuff 2 Scrap - Designed by Ann Lederhose. The chipboard card you get actually measures approx 16cm x 21cm and features the large Geo Corners (not used on this layout - will use soon!). You also get 2 ATC cards - one which can be used as a journal block, the other as an atc card. There are also plenty extra circles to accessorize and once you pop out the corners you can even use what is left as a great looking frame (which is what I used on my layout - I've used one and a half ATC cards). Basically I drew an outline around the cards onto vintage book paper, then I poked out all the circles and glued the circles back how they are originally positioned in the card onto the book paper, removing the outer card to use in another section. Easy but effective and most importantly... fun! Here's a closie of the "negative of the card used"...

I hope I've inspired some of you to try these super-fun chippie designs - they are such good value and a total HOOT! Couldn't resist it... LOL!

Don't forget to play along with our monthly challenge! Details and inspo right HERE! Can't wait to see your creations!

TFL & BBS! :) :) :)
Cheers,
Chantal
