Playground F U N !

Hello there fellow scrappers! Thanks for all your lovely comments over the last week! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I have one more share here for you this week. It's called "Playground Fun".

On my layout I've used Stuff 2 Scrap's Chipboard Corner Flower #1 border as a design feature. I've left the chippie raw, and used three of the "cut out" flowers as a template over the reverse side of the patterned paper to draw the same flower shapes, then cut these out, flipped them over and adhered them to the base of the flowers for contrast (the pp was actually the reverse of the "stem" pp that it is over). Then I just filled in these three flowers with craft glue and sprinkled little co-ordinating beads into them to give a kind of shaker-effect... without the shaking action! :) I think it looks pretty! :D

Now don't forget to get your entries in to our monthly challenge! The challenge ends May 31st so there's totally still time! Check it out here! I love checking out everyone's interpretations! Remember - you've got to be in it to win it! ;)

It's a great day to S H I N E ! :D

Hello there! Happy Friday! Guess what?! I've got another layout to share with you all! This one is jammed-packed with 4 Stuff 2 Scrap goodies! Okay here we go...

This layout is called "It's Your Day to Shine". It's of my daughter Lucy at her birthday party - which just so happened to be on her actual birthday! Sweet! :D

I've matted my main photo with corrugated cardboard strips and this has then been placed on top of 2 separate pieces of funky square frames - to give my layout a bit of depth and dimension!

Now see this big flower? Well it's a die-cut flower shape, with an Engraved Acrylic Button in the centre! Now the great thing about these buttons, is that they are clear - so here I've used a co-ordinating die-cut underneath the button and inked the edges and pierced through the button holes to create a fully co-ordinated funky button! Then I simply tied some string through it and tied myself a nice knot! Another handy fact about these buttons are that the button holes are a nice size for thicker threads such as twine and thick string (like I've used here). LOVE these buttons - so very handy to have in your stash! They are so cheap too! :)

And here I've used Leeann's Mini Cage - isn't it the 'tweetest?! I've left it raw - such gorgeous detailing - and I've threaded some string through the top loop and tied a li'l bow. Just too cute!

I hope you liked my share today! Have an awesome weekend! I'll be back real soon with some more! :D

Hey, this chippie makes me wanna PARTY! :)

Here's my double layout called "Let the Fun Begin!". My daughter Heidi turned 3 here... she's such a cutie! :)

Please double click on my layout for a better view. I've also got some close-up shots for you all too, so here we go! First up we have...

This super-cool arrow taken from the pack of 6 "Chipboard Arrows #1". I have LOVED these arrows and I've only got one left... *sob*. You would of seen them popping up on various layouts I've done previously - they come in all different shapes and sizes. They RULE! So I just wrapped 3 different colours of twine around this one. ;)

Next up we have...

Pumpkin Pink's Present Border Mini! Soooo sweet isn't it?! I've cut it up a little and used some more on the left of my layout... using them kind of like a bracket to ground and "neutralise" the layout if that makes sense... LOL. Love the detail on these, so I left them raw 'cause they look awesome - kinda like burned-etched, and I simply added some twine bows on top for a bit of colour and dimension! :D

Last but definately not least we have...

This super-cool crown by Stuff 2 Scrap. You get a pack of tiaras and crowns and they are so much fun to use. Here I've decorated this one with twine, adhesive rhinestones and a rhinestone brad. It's the perfect finishing touch and it really makes sure the focus is of the birthday girl! :D

One more thing - my background is cardstock covered with vintage children's book paper, white-washed with acrylic paint then splattered with watered-down black acrylic paint.

I hope you've enjoyed my share! I've enjoyed it! I think I'll have to go an blow up a balloon now! ;)

Nice Ice, Baby!

Hello! Here's a layout I just completed using "Vanilla Ice" by Anne Lederhose. The Vanilla Ice pack features a small engraved cone measuring approx 9cms, a pop out design measuring approx 13cms and a blank design 12.3cms. Cool hey?! ;)

I've painted my larger pop out cone white, covered my blank design with patterned paper and layered these together. I have left the small engraved cone in it's raw state. I have just used some foam tape partially underneath the smaller cone so it lies flat (as it's layered with the larger one).

I think these icecream cones are the perfect touch to any Summertime project, or for that matter, any project calling for a bit of sweetness (I love icecream all year round!).

Hello everyone, it's Chantal here! ;)

Hey there everyone, it's my turn to show and tell this week! :D

I'd like to share with you all a layout I just finished last week called "Cheeky Rascal"; using a "Rascal" Chipboard Title, I've decorated it by simply writing "CHEEKY" all over it with a black gel pen.... :D

There are lots of titles to choose from in store, and if the title you're looking for isn't there - then Stuff 2 Scrap will MAKE it for you! So cool huh?!

more goodness...

sometimes its a battle to get behind the lense
maybe because it takes time to compose yourself
to set the camera on timer
but I challenged myself to scrap about me

you will see tucked under neath my layering
the chippie covered in white and black decorative tape
love the texture and the depth it gives the page

This page I created leaving the chippie raw
cute the twiggy tree down
and laid the twiggy tree on the side.

hope that inspires you today.
Happy Thursday

Sharin' the Stuff2Scrap Chippie Joy

Bout time I share some pages I had a fabulous time creating with the chippie inspiration from Stuff 2Scrap! I havn't detailed the exact names of the pieces in this blog as I am going to upload a handful of layouts,HOWEVER, if you havn't already checked out the website guys do so now and if you have then yep why not build up your stash! Seriously peeps if you are anything like me you can't get enough of this product and to prove it these first two layouts are an example of what I do to myself..I often can't decide which option to choose for a layout so as I have done here I figure, well I shall just scrap it twice!! Hope you enjoy the following ones anyway..thanks! Trace :)

AND SOME MORE!

mini Bubble tree

its quiet
feet are up
coffee in hand
a good book
then you here a little 'chatter' from a little body in the bedroom.

yep
I just sat down
but
I have to pinch myself sometimes to realise how lucky I am
To have 2 little bodies at my side
"Mum.. mum.. mmmmum!"
I wouldnt change a thing.
Motherhood is challenging
agree?
but its rewarding!

I wanted to create a page that reflected the 'quietness'
a simple page with lots space.
Yep
a 'quiet' page!

now that your thinking motherhood
make sure you link up your page for this months challenge

Here is a sneak
I will be back later in the week with a few more shares.
Happy Tuesday

last share for the week by me...

...this time i used a heap of different chipboard pieces on this page...

"i went walking"...

  •  for the double bubble frame i painted then stamped and heat embossed
  • for the cloud  a swipe of gesso and used a french script stamp and machine stitch for added texture
  • the animal border was left raw as i love the fine details on the animals - i think we need some farm animals cut out!
that's it from me this week...
i do hope that you will stop by again soon to see who's up next...

...another share using some stuff 2 scrap chipboard...

...hello again...
just wanted to share this page with you
" j" - a little girl with little dreams...

photo taken: on her first birthday...

this piece of chipboard does not have a name - i think they should be called "tri-spots"
and this is the twiggy tree by petrina - so love this
so the "twiggy tree" was just inked and outlined
with a white gel pen.
the "tri-spots" i primed with gesso
and them  stamped and heat embossed.

thanks  miss wally xxx

chipboard mini birdcage #1...

...hello everyone - just wanted to show you this mini chipboard birdcage #1 it has to be the cutest ever, it's one of my favorite designs too...

'happy place' - seriously this kid is just the coolest wee girl ever!!!

pine cone ink and a white gel pen was used to dress this piece of chipboard.
try this:
use your ink pad and swipe or dab it on to your
chipboard piece then use a white gel pen to outline.
such a fun and easy technique to use.

... i will be back later with another page and another little tip..
cheers Leeann

From Another Mother!

So I have been a little absent lately scrappin peeps but I am back armed with another laptop so will share with you my take on the May challenge. I have kept my wonderful chippie nice and simple with only inking and twine to highlight it.The heart and keys were great symbols for this challenge. To be a Mother is such a journey packed with an incredible amount of EVERYTHING in which I know I can only give small glimpses of on my layouts so I have decided to use a pic I love that shares an aspect of this love and keep it simple with neutral colors and some space to breathe(a kind of irony for us Mums too huh?!). Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy this special challenge.. cheers, Trace

A Challenge for May

It's that time of the month again when we at "Stuff 2 Scrap" set a challenge for you......
This month I thought what better way to celebrate mothers and thank them for everything than to set the challenge about them....

 ...the details...

- Scrap a layout (or it could be off the page if you really want to), about a mother.  It could be you, if you are a mum, your mother, your mother-in-law.....  and use a piece of chipboard.........

Entries start now, and will end on the 31st of May........

To start you off with some gorgeous inspiration here are some of the Creative Team takes on this months challenge......

Felicity - used  a mushroom

Chantal - square it

And a close up of the gorgeous use of the chipboard on Jess's layout

Keep your eyes peeled as some more Creative Team layouts are uploaded here.

Thank you very much for stopping by for a look.  We hope you are all able to take part in this one.

Until next time
Annmarie
